Summary of Novel Mere Humdam Mere Dost:
The story of the novel “Mere Humdam Mere Dost” revolves around two main characters Haniya Waqar and Ibaad Raza. Haniya belongs to a well-off family where she has had her father’s love since her childhood. She has a different nature than her mother and elder sisters. Waqar Sahab(Haniya’s father) doesn’t have good terms with her wife. Haniya always wishes to have a lovely family where both of her parents love and respect each other’s opinions.
Whereas Ibad Raza is the nephew of Waqar Sahab. Haniya’s mother doesn’t like her aunt and never has good terms with her.
The story takes an interesting turn when Haniya’s father tries to convince her to marry Ibaad whereas Haniya loves Izad and wants to marry him. Her mother convinces her to take a stand for herself and tells her father that she loves Izad and that she only marries him.
Haniya’s mother told her that Ibaad wanted to marry her for the sake of her father’s property. He belongs to a village and doesn’t have a good family background.
Haniya met Ibad when her father was hospitalized and he came to see him. Some other, main characters of the story are Zooniya, Ali Sadia, Zaini, Nargis Phopo, and many more.
