The novel is all about the young generation of Haveli residents. The story revolves around many couples. But the most important couples are: zaaraan and Abrish, Hoor and Arhaam, Shehraam and Bahar-e-gul, Babark and Aabeer.
Zaaran is a successful businessman, a straightforward and quite rude young Khanzada. He met with his cousin Abrish at her house when Abrish came from America. Their fight starts from the first meeting till the end.

Abrish is the older girl in her house and she is a confident and bold girl who is not afraid of anyone. She came to Pakistan because of her mother, an aunt of Zaraan.

Arhaam is the elder brother of Zaraan Khanzada and a father of a girl Pareezay. Her wife is Pari gull who is a very cunning woman. Zaraan loves Pari Gull very much but due to Hoor, he has to give divorce to his wife.

Shehraam is Zaraan and Arhaam’s cousin. He has done matriculation only and engaged with Bahar-e-gull in their childhood. Bahar-e-gul is a doctor and does not like Shehraam due to his poor education.

Abeer is the sister of Zaraan and is engaged with her cousin Babark, a characterless man who always creates trouble for their family.

In all these characters you will see that all the male protagonists(lead) are possessive as well as aggressive and always want to dominate their women.
